Mont Blanc Guides Blog

Mid July and Back to Normal

Of our first nine courses this year only one made the top of Mont Blanc (see previous post); of the next nine, only one failed. Conditions in the Grand Couloir are good for the time of year and temperatures are warm without being excessive. Wind speeds have been marginal on a couple of occasions but we’ve managed to get round it doing a last day ascent. Back up to a 50% success rate and looking hopeful for the next few days as well.
